Andriy Yarmolenko scored in the 12th minute and Marko Devic in the 68th as USMNT felt 2-0 to Ukraine in front of 1,573 at Papadopoulos Stadium, Cyprus. The European-based roster had plenty to prove. The manager Jurgen Klinsmann was looking for answers from his bubble players but few were positive. Fans hoped to see better performances. The Americans failed to face a quality opponent. The U.S. defense struggled, with Oguchi Onyewu and John Brooks both having a lackluster performance. They made Klinsmann right on his choice to favour MLS center back pairing of Matt Besler and Omar Gonzalez as starters. Mexican-based left-back Edgar Castillo too had a forgettable night and Ukraine was effective easily breaking U.S. defense. Sacha Kljestan get another audition as he was paired alongside Jermaine Jones but once again he didn’t look capable to make an impression. Midfielder Clint Dempsey didn't show enough while just goalkeeper Tim Howard and midfielder Alejandro Bedoya had inspired performances. Fabian Johnson get another chance to convince out wide and he didn’t do much wrong showing how much he's a good option off the bench. Brek Shea too was particularly active with his second-half effort.

in attack.

M - Alejandro Bedoya, 6: He did well in attack in the first half. Looked sharper than most of his teammates.
